Store opens

YOUNGSTOWN

Dollar General’s newest store at 1370 Belmont Ave. is now open.

Dollar General will celebrate the store’s official grand opening at 8 a.m. March 18 with free prizes and special deals. The first 50 adult shoppers at the store will receive a $10 Dollar General gift card, and the first 200 shoppers will receive a Dollar General tote bag with complimentary product samples, among other giveaways.

Economic breakfast

On March 21, the Home Builders & Remodelers Association of the Valley will host Rob Dietz, National Home Builders Association chief economist, for the 2017 Economic Forecast Breakfast.

The economic forecast will give insights in current headwinds that will impact the housing and construction industry in the year ahead as well as how the new president might affect the industry. The breakfast will take place from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Poland Library, 311 S. Main St.

Registration is required. The cost is $25 for HBA members and $30 for the public. RSVP to the HBA office by Wednesday by calling 330-965-9779.
