Police: 7-year-old struck and injured by vehicle

CENTERVILLE, Ohio (AP) — Authorities in Montgomery County say a driver struck a 7-year-old boy.

WHIO-TV reports the child was trying to cross a road in Washington Township when he was struck by a car on Thursday afternoon. Police say the boy was taken to a nearby hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.

No arrests have been made.

Police say there is an ongoing investigation.
