The Boardman boys indoor track team will send three athletes to The Ohio State Indoor Championship Meet at The University of Akron.

Representing the Spartans are seniors Chris Butler and George Wallace and junior Justice Jama.

Butler will be competing in both the 1600- and 800-meter runs after qualifying to the state meet by running career best times of 4:24 in the 1600 and 1:57 in the 800 during The Spire Scholastic Showcase in Geneva in mid-February. Wallace will be competing in the shot put after qualifying to the state meet by throwing a career best throw of 49 feet 11.5 inches earlier this winter at a meet at Youngstown State University. Jama will be competing for the second consecutive season at the state indoor championship in the high jump. Jama earned his state spot after jumping a career best 6 feet 2 inches recently at a meet at The University of Akron.

The Spartan athletes will make All-Ohio status by placing in the top 8 in their events.
