Andrew T. Jordan, 24, of Brier Street Southeast pleaded guilty in Trumbull County Common Pleas Court this week to three theft-related incidents and received a 31/2-year prison sentence.

Among the charges was an April 8, 2016, break-in at a home on Willard Avenue initially blamed on downtown artist Aaron Chine, 36, after a witness identified Chine as being the person involved. Chine and Jordan look similar.

Jordan pleaded guilty Wednesday before Judge W. Wyatt McKay to the Aug. 7, 2015, aggravated burglary of Edna’s Market in Bristolville.

He pleaded guilty Tuesday to the Willard break-in and the March 21 burglary of a home on Woodbine Avenue Southeast.

Chine spent six days in the Trumbull County Jail, until a Warren police investigator viewed surveillance video from Chine’s tattoo shop that showed he could not have committed the offense because he was at his shop at the time.

Sam Bluedorn, Jordan’s attorney, said Jordan was an honor student and a high school soccer player from Warren who started committing crimes after getting hooked on heroin.
