The NCAA college basketball tournament, known as March Madness, begins Sunday with the release of the brackets. The following numerical facts from wallethub.com illustrate the magnitude of the tourney:
v $4 billion: Amount of corporate losses due to unproductive workers during March Madness.
v $7.3 million: The 2016 salary of Duke University coach Mike Krzyzewski, college basketball’s highest-paid coach. Coach K makes six times as much as the the university’s president.
v $9.2 billion: Estimated amount legally wagered on the 2016 NCAA tournament. Another $8.9 billion was illegally wagered.

“Survivor” (8 p.m., CBS): Let the back-stabbing begin. “Survivor” returns for a new season, starting with the - gasp! - 500th episode of the series. Yeah, we can’t believe it either.
“Underground” (10 p.m., WGN America): The valiant struggle for freedom resumes on “Underground” as the emotionally powerful drama series returns for Season 2. Joining the cast is Aisha Hinds as Harriet Tubman, the fabled abolitionist who helped to rescue scores of slaves.

Valley of the Divas returns to theater
YOUNGSTOWN
Valley of the Divas, an evening of female vocalists associated with the Mahoning Valley, will return for its second year at 7 p.m. April 22 at Ford Family Recital Hall, 260 W. Federal St., downtown.
The show stars Grammy Award winner Maureen McGovern, “The Voice” 2014 semi-finalist Sugar Joans, and local singers Maureen Collins, LeeAnn Binder and Janis Jones.
Ticket are $35, $45, $55 and $100 (VIP package), and are available at youngstownsymphony.com and by phone at 330-744-0264.
All proceeds will benefit CreativeBridge Coalition, which serves young children and those with special needs with music-based programming.
Diversity awards will be bestowed

Youngstown State University faculty members Karen H. Larwin, associate professor, and Jaietta Jackson, instructor, will receive the Campus Leadership Award at the annual YSU Diversity Leadership Recognition Dinner on March 23 at Stambaugh Auditorium’s Grand Ballroom.

The award honors faculty, staff and administrators who are leaders in diversity and inclusion. The recipient of the Diversity Leadership Achievement Award also will be announced at the dinner.
