v“Harry’s “Friendly Service,” 2:30 p.m.: Step back into 1977 Youngstown in this drama ($15, $12 for seniors and students), presented by the Youngstown Playhouse, at Ford Theater, inside Bliss Hall, on the Youngstown State University campus (due to the construction of Wick Avenue, it’s best to park in YSU’s Wick Avenue deck. Enter from Walnut Street, near the MVR restaurant); 330-788-8739.
v“No More Peace!,” 2 p.m.: Last chance to catch this unusual comedy ($16 for adults). It’s in Youngstown State University’s Spotlight Theater, which is on the lower level of Bliss Hall, and just down the hall from where “Harry’s” will be performed. Call 330-941-3105 (and see above note on parking).
v The Miller Sisters, 1:30 p.m.: The five sisters will play a mix of traditional Celtic, American folk and modern music (free, but offerings accepted) at St. Patrick Church, 1410 Oak Hill Ave., Youngstown. After the concert, stay for a spaghetti dinner at the church ($8, $5 for children 10 and under).
v “Jack and the Beanstalk,” 3 p.m.: The Young Artists of Opera Western Reserve present this special operatic program for youngsters of all ages ($5) in the ballroom of Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Ave., Youngstown; 330-259-0555.
v “The Sea Lady,” 2 p.m.: The Victorian Players live up to their name in presenting this adaptation of H.G. Wells’ tale of a mermaid who comes ashore ($13, $10 for students and seniors). The theater is at 702 Mahoning Ave., Youngstown; 330-746-5455.
“Making History” (8:30 P.M., FOX): What is it with all the time-travel plot lines these days? In the new comedy “Making History,” a nerdy dude (Adam Pally) transports himself back to the 1700s to hang out with his latest crush - Paul Revere’s daughter (Leighton Meester). Funny things apparently happen.
“TIME AFTER TIME” (9 P.M., ABC): Here’s another one: The new drama “Time After Time” has Jack the Ripper (Josh Bowman) stealing a time machine built by H.G. Wells (Freddie Stroma) and taking off to terrorize present-day citizens in New York. Wells, of course, goes after him. But will it be worth our time?
“Feud: BETTE AND JOAN” (10 P,M., FX): You don’t have to be a vintage film buff to enjoy this rollicking new anthology series, but it helps. Over eight lovingly crafted episodes, it recalls the legendary rivalry between Hollywood icons Joan Crawford (Jessica Lange) and Bette Davis (Susan Sarandon) while also exploring the ageism and sexism they endured in the twilight of their careers. See story on page C1.
