Hubbard announces spelling bee winner

HUBBARD

Hubbard Elementary School hosted its annual spelling bee Jan. 13. The winner, Adam Pogacnik, will participate in the Vindicator Regional Spelling Bee at Youngstown State University at 9 a.m. Saturday in Kilcawley Center’s Chestnut Room.

The volunteer judges were Brenda Cepleci, Diane Prezioso and Laura Manhollan, and the pronouncer was Allie Naples.

The school spelling bee participants included: Caleb Schindell and Laila Mortimer who tied for second place, Carmen Christoff, Landen Rain, T.J. Ward, Alivia Rydarowicz, Kasey Cooper, Jason Gonzalez, Joey Miklos, Sadie Cannistra, Ava Flowers, Caydance Bennett, Abigail Altheide, Leland Eldridge, Camron Bettura, Mylie Vaughn, Emily Brannan, Reagan Cantrell, Emily Flynn, Gus Johnson, Cody Hogue, Veronica Bray and Jordan Porter.
