Organist Houlihan to play Stambaugh

YOUNGSTOWN

Acclaimed pipe organist Christopher Houlihan will return to Stambaugh Auditorium April 23 for a 4 p.m. concert. Houlihan is widely acknowledged as one of the brightest stars in the new generation of organists.

Tickets are $10 ($5 for senior citizens and students) and are available at stambaughauditorium.com, by phone at 330-259-0555, and at the box office, which is open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

RiffTrax takes on ‘Samurai Cop’

The RiffTrax crew (Michael J. Nelson, Kevin Murphy and Bill Corbett of MST3K fame) will return to movie theaters to take on “Samurai Cop,” the B-grade action film of the early ’90s. The group will unleash hilarious commentary on Samurai Cop and his partner as they bust up a gang.

“RiffTrax Live: Samurai Cop” will be broadcast at 8 p.m. April 13, with a second showing at 7:30 p.m. April 18, at Tinseltown, adjacent to Southern Park Mall. For advance tickets, to to FathomEvents.com or the Tinseltown box office.

Another ‘Feud’

Producer Ryan Murphy’s first edition of “Feud,” which tells the story of film legends Bette Davis and Joan Crawford, won’t premiere until this weekend.

But already FX has announced a second installment in the “Feud” franchise. The network said Tuesday a 10-episode series will spotlight the doomed royal couple Charles and Diana. It is scheduled to air in 2018.

The 8-episode “Feud: Bette and Joan” premieres Sunday at 10 p.m. It stars Susan Sarandon and Jessica Lange in the title roles.
