Canfield Christian Church, 123 S Broad St., will offer breakfast from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. Meals are free and donations are accepted. A Bible study will take place at 9 a.m.

Holy Family Parish, 2729 Center Road, Poland, will sell fried fish dinners from 1 to 7 p.m. for $10. The menu will include macaroni and cheese, green beans, coleslaw, rolls and butter and dessert. Takeout is available. Homemade pasta fagioli will be available for $6 a quart and pasta sauce for $5 a quart.

Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish Center, 4500 Norquest Blvd., Austintown, will serve fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. They will include baked, fried fish or shrimp, coleslaw and two sides, dessert and beverage. A pizza/pasta bar is included with all dine-in dinners. The cost is $11 for adults and $6 for children. Carryouts will be available.

THURSDAY

Poland United Methodist Church, 1940 Boardman-Poland Road, will have homemade dinners to go from 3:30 p.m. until sold out. The cost is $7, and the meal includes baked stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes and green beans. Drive to the front of the church and someone will bring the dinner to you. St. Jude Women’s Guild, 180 7th St., Columbiana, will sell drive-through dinners from 4 to 6 p.m., or until sold-out. The menu comprises stuffed pepper, applesauce, roll with butter and dessert. FRIDAY

Archangel Michael Parish Center, 401 12th St., Campbell, will host dine-in and takeout fish and shrimp dinners from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Fish will be $12 and shrimp $14. Various baked goods will be available. To order call 330-755-9072.

Canfield Lions Club will have a fish fry from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at A La Cart Catering, 429 Lisbon St., Canfield. Meals include a choice of baked or fried fish; macaroni and cheese, haluski, pirogi or french fries; green beans or coleslaw; roll, dessert and beverage. The cost is $11.

Christ Our Savior Parish at Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. There is a limit of three dozen cabbage pirogi while supplies last. Orders will be taken from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday and from 8 to 10 a.m. Friday at 330-755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Containers will be provided.

Christ the Good Shepherd at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell, will sell potato, prune and kraut pirogi. The cost is $6 a dozen. Phone orders may be made from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and beginning at 7 a.m. Friday at 330-755-1316. Orders can be picked up from noon to 2 p.m.

Girard Knights of Columbus Council 2935, 122 S. State St., Girard, will host a fish dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals are $9 for adults and $4.50 for children 4 to 12, under 4 eats for free. The menu consists of baked or fried fish, french fries, macaroni and cheese or haluski, coleslaw, bread, coffee and cake. Soda and water will be $1. Takeout is available. Holy Apostles Parish at Sts. Peter and Paul Croatian Church, 421 Covington St., Youngstown, will provide fish dinners during Lent. The cost is $10 for adults and includes a 10-ounce Haddock fillet, coleslaw, coffee, tea, lemonade, iced tea, water and dessert with the choice of a side of french fries, haluski or macaroni and cheese. Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church, 526 W. Rayen Ave., will take orders for potato and potato with kraut pirogi for $6 per dozen. No containers are necessary. Orders should be placed from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at 330-746-9528 and are to be picked up between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday at the church hall. Hot lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

St. Brendan Parish will sell fish dinners from 4 to 7 p.m. for $11 at Maxwell Hall, 144 N Schenley Ave., Youngstown. The menu comprises baked, fried, cajun or beer-battered fish with the choice of macaroni and cheese, seasoned french fries, parsley potatoes or haluski as a side. Dinner also includes bread, cake, coffee or tea, and coleslaw or applesauce. Cold beverages will be extra. Meals for children are $6, extra sides $3, and piece of fish $5. St. Paul the Apostle Church, 10143 Main St., New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi for $5.75 a dozen. Cabbage pirogi orders are limited to three dozen per customer. Orders can be called to 330-542-3525 from 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from noon to 3 p.m. Friday. Walk-ins are welcome.

St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, sells potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at 330-747-3024 from 8 a.m. to noon Thursday and Friday. Pickup will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $6.50 per dozen. Pirogi lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Walk-in orders are welcome.

St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 4453 Warren-Sharon Road, Vienna, will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. The menu comprises baked or fried white fish, pirogi, parsley potatoes, coleslaw, applesauce, bread, beverage and dessert. Take-outs are available beginning at 3. Adult meals are $10 and children under 12, $5; under 4 eats free.

Valley Christian Schools, 4401 Southern Blvd., Youngstown, will sell takeout fish dinners from 3 to 6 p.m. The menu consists of baked Italian or fried fish with coleslaw or applesauce, bread and butter, dessert, and a side of macaroni and cheese, haluski, or pirogies. VFW Post 9571, 11397 Ellsworth Road, Ellsworth, will host an all-you-can-eat fried fish dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. The meal includes french fries, macaroni and cheese, coleslaw and applesauce. Four-piece chicken, chicken fingers or shrimp dinners also are available. Cost is $9. A chicken fingers dinner or fish dinner for seniors is $8.50, and a fish dinner for children under 10 is $5.50. The meals are offered the first and third Fridays of each month.

SATURDAY

Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Boardman, is having a drive-through chili sale from 1 to 5 p.m. or until sold out. Chili will cost $8 per quart.

St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, will serve takeout dinners from noon to 4 p.m. A quart of chicken noodle, bean, or sauerkraut soup is $6. A quart of chicken paprikash is $8, and a baker’s dozen of stuffed cabbage, $25. Call Tim at 330-519-9036 to reserve food items.

SUNDAY

Immaculate Heart of Mary Knights of Columbus 3930 is sponsoring a pancake and sausage breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the parish center, 4500 Norquest Blvd, Austintown. The menu consists of pancakes, sausage and beverages. The cost for adults is $5 and $3 for ages 12 and under.

Southington American Legion Post will serve an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the legion home, 3145 Warren Burton Road. Adults cost $7, $4 for under 12, and under 4 eats free. Sausage is included. Biscuits and gravy also are offered.

St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown, will host a drive-through chicken breast dinner from 11:30 a.m. until sold out. The dinner includes mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and dessert for $9. No need to get out of your car, drive to the back parking lot of the school off Schenley and make a left turn to the first set of kitchen doors. Your dinners will be delivered to you.

St. James the Apostle Church, 4019 state Route 422, will host breakfast from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Adults cost $8 and children $4. The meal includes French toast; sweet cheese filling; buttermilk or buckwheat pancakes with a choice of syrups; scrambled eggs; scrambled eggs with peppers, onions and cheese; home fries; bacon; sausage; ham; toast; cinnamon rolls; hot and cold cereals; coffee; tea; juices; and milk.

St. Patrick Church, 1410 Oak Hill Ave., will serve a spaghetti dinner form 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Cost for the dinner is $8 for adults and $5 for children 10 and under. The menu includes salad, bread, dessert and beverage. Carryouts are available and containers will be provided. The Miller sisters will perform a variety of traditional Celtic, American folk and modern selections from 1:30 to 2:30. The concert is free and open to the community. Free-will donations are welcome. VFW Post 2799 will serve a homestyle breakfast sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary from 8 a.m. to noon. $6 for adults; $3.50 for children under 12. The menu consists of eggs, hash browns, sausage or ham, pancakes or freedom toast, toast and coffee or tea.

TAKING ORDERS

Catholic Charities, Diocese of Youngstown, is sponsoring a boxed lunch sale from 11:30 to 1:30 p.m. March 15. Lunches will include corned beef and Swiss cheese on rye bread, potato chips, coleslaw, dill pickle and dessert for $8. Pick-up will be at St. Columba Hall, corner of West Wood and North Hazel streets). Orders for delivery downtown only will be $10 each with a minimum order of five to each address. UPCOMING

Youngstown Saxon Club will host its 41st annual President’s Benefit goulash dinner March 18. The public is invited. Doors open at 6 p.m. for a family style dinner served at 6:30. Donation is $16 for adults and $7.50 for children and includes coffee, strudel and refreshments. There will be music, awards and raffles. Reservations are due March 13.
