Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued late Thursday for Columbiana County in Ohio and Lawrence and Mercer counties in Pennsylvania.

Although high winds and heavy rains were recorded in Columbiana County Thursday evening, Ohio Edison reported no power outages as of 10 p.m. There were 160 customers without electricity in Mahoning County at that time and 45 in Trumbull County.

Eric Wilhelm, chief meteorologist for 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, predicted today will be warm and humid with afternoon temperatures climbing into the mid-80s, with parts of the Mahoning Valley experiencing showers or thunderstorms.
