What: Join Arika Preas, a Mill Creek MetroParks naturalist, for a paddle around Lake Newport. Navigate around open waters and through wetlands searching for wildlife.

Where: East Newport Boat Launch, East Newport Drive, Youngstown.

Traveling Naturalist

When: Sunday, 1:30 to 3:30 p.m.

What: Take time from your busy summer schedule to stop by and have fun at the Scholl Recreation Area. Afterward, chat with Preas about the area’s wildlife.

Gliding Along Glacier

When: July 6, 11 a.m. to noon or 1 to 2 p.m.

What: Explore Lake Glacier and the animals that call it home. A ride on the Glacier Passenger Boat, story and craft are part of the fun.
