Startup 101 session

The Youngstown Business Incubator will have a Startup 101 session with Jim Cossler, Huntington Bank entrepreneur-in-residence at YBI, from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the incubator, 241 W. Federal St. downtown.

Youngstown’s 221st

YOUNGSTOWN

The Downtown Youngs-town Partnership will celebrate Youngstown’s 221st birthday, June 27, 1796, on Tuesday.

Guests will be offered cakes and cookies at the Tyler Mahoning Valley History, 325 W. Federal St., at 5:30 p.m.

At 6 p.m., members of the Mahoning Valley Historical Society and Youngstown CityScape will lead a walking tour examining the past, present and future of downtown.

Smart Manufacturing seminar scheduled

YOUNGSTOWN

A Smart Manufacturing seminar on “The Changing Landscape of Additive Manufacturing Materials” will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 10 at America Makes, 236 W. Boardman St.

At the event, attendees will discover which materials and filaments are most durable, what types of machines to use, certification/qualification standards as well as how to reduce cost and increase profitability.

Medical marijuana

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a “Human Resources Hot Topics” session on medical marijuana from 7:30 to 9 a.m. July 13 at the Courtyard Marriott at 173 Westford Place.

Klevis Bakiaj and Patrick Haggerty from Frantz Ward Attorneys at Law will discuss the changes to the medical marijuana laws in Ohio and what they mean for businesses.

The cost is $25 for members and $35 for nonmembers.

Power Lunch set

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have a “Power Lunch” networking program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. July 13 at Vernon’s, 720 Youngstown-Warren Road.
