The Brownlee Woods Neighborhood Association will host its monthly meeting Thursday at Faith Community Church, 1919 E. Midlothian Blvd.
Refreshments will be served at 6 p.m. with a business meeting at 6:30 p.m. Guest speakers will be Mayor John A. McNally and Councilwoman Basia Adamczak, D-7th. Also, community police officer Phil Skowron will visit.
The Brownlee Woods Neighborhood Action Team also will meet at 5:30 p.m. with the Youngstown Neighborhood Development Corp. to discuss property issues, make plans for neighborhood projects and receive a progress report from YNDC.
Meetings are open to the public.
St. Rose registration
GIRARD
St. Rose School is accepting registration for kindergarten through eighth grade for the 2017-18 school year. A $50 registration fee is required. Call the school office at 330-545-1163 to secure registration material or to schedule a tour of the school. The school offers busing from Girard, Hubbard, Liberty, Mathews, McDonald, Niles and Youngstown.
Register for camps
YOUNGSTOWN
Registration is underway for a summer enrichment camp hosted by the Northwood Golf Academy, 3143 Northwood Ave., and the Center for Community Empowerment, 1420 Dogwood Lane. The camp, from July 3 through Aug. 3, is for children age 6 through 12. Activities include sports, arts and crafts and etiquette lessons. There is a $35 registration fee. Book-signing event
POLAND
The Poland Library, 311 S. Main St., will host author Hugh Earnhart for a book signing of his newest book titled “Delicious Hot Dogs,” along with his Forest Friends Series books. The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday.
