The twelfth annual Sunshine Benefit Golf Outing, sponsored by Magilla’s Sports Bar and Grill, located at 225 Four Mile Run Road in Austintown, will take place on July 15 at Lakeside Golf Course.
The outing is a three-person scramble that includes a continental breakfast and lunch at the turn. Following the event is a made-to-order steak dinner reception at Magilla’s Sports Bar, where prizes will be awarded for the hole events. The winner of the 50/50 drawing and the winners of the Chinese auction will be announced.
The Sunshine Benefit Golf Outing is committed to helping a person in need due to a medical condition. This is made possible because of volunteers and the generous contributions of local businesses.
This year’s recipient, Mandy Fitch, is a 34-year-old life-long Austintown resident. She has been battling chronic kidney disease since 2004. Fitch is currently preparing for dialysis and is in the process of being placed on a kidney transplant waiting list. She has been an employee at the Austintown Giant Eagle for the past 13 years.
The committee co-chairs are asking for your help in making this event a success by becoming a hole and/or program sponsor, giving a gift donation for the Chinese auction, making a monetary donation or purchasing a ceiling tile advertisement at Magilla’s Sports Bar and Grill.
