Fourth-grade students walked across the stage at Robinwood Lane Elementary one last time on May 31.
Families and friends gathered to watch the fourth-grade students earn their diplomas and graduate to the fifth grade.
Four students were chosen by their peers to read an essay about their time at Robinwood before the ceremony began. Vincent Massacci from Jeanette Tamulonis’s class was first to read his essay. Following Massacci was Max Switka from Jan Zorman’s class, Abiha Khan from Jeff Hammerton’s class and Lynn Fair from Doreen Miner’s class.
After the essays were presented, the teachers took the stage to announce their students. As the students walked across the stage, they received a diploma and a handshake from their teacher and the PTA President.
When all the students finished walking across the stage, they waited outside as the audience watched a presentation. The presentation was a slideshow of different pictures of the fourth-grade students participating in different activities throughout the school year.
While the students were outside they talked about how they were excited for summer and the fifth grade.
Before departing, the families and students enjoyed cookies and punch and had the opportunity to talk to the teachers and Principal Don Robinson.
The evening came to an end and the students prepared themselves for the summer before entering their first year at Boardman Center Intermediate School.
