WARREN

The Trumbull County coroner has ruled the death of a girl, 15 months, an accidental drowning.

Dr. Humphrey Germaniuk issued the ruling for Nevaeh Jones, who was taken from her home in the 200 block of Homewood Avenue Southeast to ValleyCare Trumbull Memorial Hospital after her family reported that she had gotten into the swimming pool Thursday night.

Detectives said they investigated the circumstances surrounding the death but believed it probably was not criminal. They were waiting on the autopsy results for the final determination.

The home has a pool about 3 feet deep in the backyard.
