The Lapinskis celebrate 50th anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. John Lapinski celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary May 28 with a brunch at A La Cart Catering in Canfield hosted by their daughter, Marianne (Mike) Evans of Boardman, and their sons, John Lapinski of Poland and Dr. James (Hannah) Lapinski of LaGrange, Ohio.

The Lapinskis have three grandchildren, Meganne, Morganne and Mitchell Evans.

Mr. Lapinski and the former Mary Ann Hutira were married May 27, 1967, at St. Cyril and Methodius Church, Youngstown. The couple remain members of Sts. Cyril and Methodius Church (Our Lady of Sorrows Parish) and are members of St. Cyril’s Seniors.

Mrs. Lapinski retired in 2012 from Cailor Fleming Insurance Co., where she was a customer service agent.

Mr. Lapinski retired in 2001 from the Crestview Local School District in Columbiana, where he was a band director and music teacher. He is also a local musician who has performed with various polka and concert bands. He is a member of the Musicians Local 86-242, Music Educators National Conference and the Ohio Education Association.
