Faith Fellowship Church of God, 388 E. Midlothian Blvd., will host a Father’s Day service at 10:45 a.m. Sunday.
The event will include blessing of motorcycles as well as a potluck lunch after the service. Rev. Jonathan Mitchell is celebrating his three-year anniversary at Faith Fellowship and will preside over the service.
Fortnight for Freedom

The Fortnight for Freedom is 14 days of prayer, education and action for religious freedom in the United States and abroad and takes place from Wednesday through July 4.
In observance, the Most Rev. George V. Murry, S.J., Bishop of Youngstown, will preside at a holy hour and deliver the homily on Independence Day, from 6:34 to 7:45 p.m. at St. Columba Cathedral, 154 W. Wood St. All are welcome to celebrate and reflect upon religious freedom.
After the holy hour, at 8 p.m., St. Columba Cathedral will host a fireworks extravaganza on the front porch of the cathedral, including a free cookout.
Reservations are necessary and may be made by calling 330-744-8451, ext. 271. Bring soft drinks and chairs to watch the fireworks scheduled to take place at 10 p.m. Donations will be accepted.
Scholarship golf outing

Martin Luther Lutheran Church will host the Lutheran Men in Mission NEO Synod Seminary Scholarship Golf Outing at 9 a.m. July 8. The outing will take place at Arrowhead Golf and Banquet Center, 1500 Rogwin Circle NW, Canton.
All proceeds will benefit men and women entering the ministry. Deadline for reservations and payment is June 30.

Laube to perform

Trinity United Methodist Church, 30 W. Front St., will host a concert featuring Nathan Laube, world-renowned organist and a star among young classical musicians. The concert will take place at 7:30 p.m. July 4 at the church, This concert is free and open to the public. Doors will open at 6:45 p.m.
Bishop Murry to speak

First Friday Club Speaker’s Luncheon Series presents the Most Rev.George V. Murry, Bishop of the Diocese of Youngstown, at 11:30 a.m. July 6 at The Georgetown, 5945 South Ave.
Bishop Murry will speak on church history. The cost to attend is $16.

Women’s conference

Women of Faith of Triedstone Missionary Baptist Church, 2045 Jacobs Road, presents the Woman Be Thou Made Whole Conference 2017 at 2 p.m. July 8.
The theme of this event will be “Preparing for a Prepared King.” Guest speakers include Sheila Jones and Pastor Dieldra L. Penny, with musical guests Michele Stevenson, Alisa Hardin-Laney, Sandra Miles and Marie Penny Eldridge-Harris.
Hosting this event is Pastor David Moncrief Jr. and first lady Cathy Moncrief. Arlene Williams will oversee.
