GIRARD

A woman and her boyfriend were arraigned Thursday in connection with the suspected abuse of a child.

Robert Lynn Frisbee, 35, of Hubbard, appeared on misdemeanor charges of child endangering and possession of drug paraphernalia. Carol Ann Ostavitz, 36, of Campbell, appeared on a felony charge of contributing to child abuse.

Police responded to Harding Park in Hubbard Township about 9 p.m. Wednesday. Frisbee and Ostavitz were there with a 12-year-old girl. Police said Frisbee, who was drunk, physically assaulted the girl. Officers also said Frisbee had a pipe, possibly used for drugs. Police said Frisbee is Ostavitz’s boyfriend.

Police booked both Ostavitz and Frisbee into the Trumbull County jail Wednesday.

Hubbard Police said Thursday afternoon the report from the incident was not yet available for release.

A judge set bonds Thursday for Frisbee and Ostavitz at $7,500 each. They could not be reached for comment and will appear next Wednesday for a pretrial hearing.
