Giant Eagle Inc. has announced a voluntary recall of Market District Toasted Crumb Tilapia and Market District Honey Mustard Pretzel Tilapia sold fresh from the seafood department of its supermarkets, and Giant Eagle Breaded Chicken Breast sold in the prepared foods department, due to an undeclared milk allergen. People who have an allergy, or severe sensitivity to milk, may experience serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume these products, a spokesman for the supermarket chain announced Saturday night.

Arson suspects jailed

LOWELLVILLE

Two arson suspects are in jail after a fire Saturday at Aluminum Color Industries, 360 W. Wood St., which required assistance from several agencies.

The Vindicator’s broadcast partner, 21 WFMJ-TV, reported Joshua Foor, 20, and Geno Moore, 22, are charged with breaking and entering and criminal damaging. Foor faces an additional charge of criminal damaging in connection with the fire.

Crews arrived at Aluminum Color at about 6:18 a.m. to find smoke pouring from the structure. The blaze was extinguished around 10 a.m.

In addition to the firefighting units, the Mahoning County Hazardous Materials Response Agency was called because of chemicals in the building.

Helping wildlife event with ODNR

CANFIELD

Join the Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalists on June 21 to learn how to identify wildlife and how to properly interact with orphaned or injured animals.

Jamey Emmert of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources Division of Wildlife will show participants how to handle conflict animals, as well as how to help animals in distress.

The event will take place 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Ohio State University’s Mahoning County Extension Office, 490 S. Broad St. Registration is free, but space is limited so reservations are required. To register, visit the office or call at 330-533-5538.
