Apprenticeship openings online

YOUNGSTOWN

A number of projects in Trumbull, Mahoning and Columbiana counties will involve facilities construction and could mean job openings in the construction trades. Some of the construction projects will be done by union contractors. Those interested in apprenticeships should work through the actual contractor.

Some apprenticeship openings are posted on http://jfs.ohio.gov/apprenticeship. Also, potential apprentices should check with local union halls.

“Are Customers and Clients Finding You on Social Media?” SCORE Youngstown’s free “Bagels to Business” networking lecture series will explore this topic featuring Rob Palowitz, president and chief executive officer of Palo Creative.

Established in 1999, Palo Creative is a local advertising and digital media agency with services including: website design, mobile app development, video and social media management. The lecture will take place from 9 to 10:30 a.m. June 28 at Kravitz Deli, 3135 Belmont Ave.

Chamber lecture

The Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber will have “Do it Anyway: Growing through Adversity” lecture from 7:30 to 9 a.m. June 28 at Ciminero’s Banquet Center, 123 N Main St.

In this session, Michael B. Ross, founder of Mainstream Leadership Network, will provide attendees with the tools they need to grow through adversity.
