A summary of police activity in Canfield and Austintown:

CANFIELD

May 26

Criminal trespassing: Police issued a criminal-trespass warning to Donald Bucci, 30, of Pine Hill Drive, Poland, who refused to leave Belleria Express, 584 E. Main St. The business owner requested that warning.

May 30

Theft: Police took a report from a person who lives at a home on Morningview Circle of a theft from a checking account.

Drug paraphernalia: Police arrested Dylan Keyser, 18, of Alliance, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia.

May 31

Failure to appear: Police arrested Daniel Dixon, 32, of Silliman Street, Youngstown, on a common pleas court warrant for failure to appear on a receiving stolen property charge.

AUSTINTOWN

May 29

Warrant: Police arrested Stephen Cortez, 36, of Compass West on a warrant for aggravated assault with a handgun out of Campbell Municipal Court. He was driving the car in which he was caught resulting in its owner Mariluz Cortez, 60, of Compass West, Austintown, being charged with wrongful entrustment since Cortez has no operator’s license.

Aggravated menacing: Facebook threats were made to a person at a home in the 5000 block of East Rockwell Road.

Theft: Approximately 12 propane tanks were stolen from Pilot Oil, 150 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Theft: Two televisions were stolen from Walmart, 60001 Mahoning Ave.

Identity theft: A credit card was used fraudulently at a home in the 3000 block of Almerinda Drive.

May 30

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Brittany Williams, 22, Leo Avenue, Youngstown, on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Telecommunications harassment: Unwanted calls were reported by a person who lives at a home in the 20 block of Patterson Court.

Lost or stolen property: An Ohio license plate was lost or stolen from a vehicle at Auto Giant, 4120 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: Police issued a summons to Robinette Brady, 60, of Applecrest Court, Boardman, and Kristen White, 28, of Applecrest Drive, Boardman, on theft charges. Police accuse the women in the theft of $201.34 in merchandise from Walmart.

Warrant: Police arrested Nicole Callahan, 24, of Dearborn Street, Girard, and Jennifer Hamilton and Nadine Mellott, ages and addresses not given, on a charge of complicity to theft. Police said the charge stems from a complaint filed at Marc’s, 4475 Mahoning Ave.

May 31

Domestic violence: Threats were made to a person at a home in the 4000 block of Westchester Drive.

Warrant: Police arrested Kyle Kent, 20, of Starwick Drive, Austintown, on a warrant for violation of a protection order.

Warrant: Police arrested Hunter Dodson, 29, of Market Street, Youngstown, on a warrant for fraud in Niles.

Misuse of credit card: A male suspect used a stolen credit card at Sheetz gas station, 5499 Mahoning Ave.

Warrant: Police arrested Vanessa Penn, 60, of Youngstown on a warrant for grand theft. Police accuse her of taking a man’s wallet, two debit cards, along with $1,300 in cash, an inactivated Sears card and a vehicle title.

Sex offense: Police arrested Candace Slusher, 25, of Hunter Avenue, Niles, on charges of soliciting and possession of criminal tools.

Violation of protection order: A family member violated a protection order against a protected party at a home in the 100 block of South Main Street.

Theft: An iPhone was stolen from Austintown Intermediate School, 225 Idaho Road.

Recovered property: Money and valuables were recovered at a home in the 3000 block of South Canfield-Niles Road.

June 1

Theft from auto: A purse was stolen from an auto parked at a home in the 1000 block of Laurie Drive.

Recovered property: An HP laptop computer was recovered at Mahoning Avenue and North Turner Road.

Criminal trespass: Police arrested Brenda Frye, 51, of Washington Street, Lisbon, for criminal trespassing at the Austintown Plaza, 6000 Mahoning Ave.

Fraud: Unauthorized charges were reported by a person who lives in an apartment in Fox Run Apartments, 30 Idlewood Road.

Breaking and entering: A mower and leaf blower were stolen from the garage of a home in the 90 block of Westminster Avenue by a suspect in a dark SUV.

June 2

Auto theft: A black 2006 Saturn with the keys in it was stolen out of the driveway of a home in the 4000 block of Pembrook Road.

Warrant: Police arrested Matthew Vargo, 26, Niles-Cortland Road, Cortland, for making a fraudulent return on merchandise worth $59.84 at Family Farm and Home, 4477 Mahoning Ave.

Theft: A cellphone was stolen from the Skate Zone, 5420 Mahoning Ave.

June 3

Drug offense: Police arrested Andrew Lakatos, 29, of Tenney Avenue, Campbell, on a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia; Angel Savage, 25, of Finch Street, New Castle, Pa., on charges of drug abuse, possession of drug paraphernalia, dangerous drugs, and a prescription medication; and Jamie Gilmore, 40, of Pollock Avenue, New Castle, Pa., on charges of was drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Aggravated menacing: A male showed a gun to the clerk when she asked for identification at Country Fair,143 N. Canfield-Niles Road.

Disorderly conduct: Police arrested James Kula, 52, of Woodhurst Drive, on a charge of disorderly conduct.

June 4

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Quincy Burgess, 43, of Westchester Drive on a charge of possession of marijuana.

Drug offense: Police issued a summons to Raymond Butler, 20, of Dewey Street, Youngstown, on charges of possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Theft: Police arrested Derreka Clinkscale, 32,of Applecrest Avenue, Boardman, on a theft charge. Police said she was caught placing items in bags valued at $213.14 and leaving without paying for them at Walmart.

Theft: A set of headphones was taken from a home in the 100 block of North Edgehill Avenue.

Warrant: Police arrested Kent Holtzman, 42, of Flo Lor Drive, Youngstown, on a warrant for menacing by stalking.
