‘Centered’ art show reception

The seventh annual “Centered: Slightly Off-Center” senior citizen art show reception will take place Sunday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. at Davis Family YMCA, 45 McClurg Road, Boardman. This year’s participants reside at Antonine Villages, Briarfield at Ashley Circle, The Commons at Greenbriar, Countryside at Elmwood, The Inn at Christine Valley, The Inn at Glenellen, The Inn at Ironwood and The Inn at Poland Way. The reception will feature an awards ceremony, light refreshments and live music. In addition, a collaborative project between Ashley Circle Art Club and Canfield High School’s Art Club will be on display. The project, titled “Channeling van Gogh: Traditional to Contemporary,” features two wall hangings bearing the hallmarks of the artist’s color palette and sense of expression.
