June 2
Menacing: A Lee Run Road woman said she had been threatened while she was in the 6700 block of Boardwalk Drive.
June 5
Identity fraud: A Greystone Drive man found that his credit card had been used to make a $201 fraudulent purchase.
BOARDMAN
June 1
Arrest: After conducting a vehicle check on Market Street, police took into custody Jeronica A. Wolfe, 44, of Sunset Boulevard, Boardman, who was wanted on a warrant charging violation of a protection order. In early April, a neighbor alleged Wolfe, against whom he had a protection order, had threatened him.
Aggravated menacing: A Washington Boulevard man told officers a man revealed a gun as the accuser intervened on behalf of his wife, who earlier confronted the man after she reportedly had seen him striking a dog.
Assault: A South Schenley Avenue woman alleged a neighbor had struck the right side of her neck during an argument in a hallway as she cleaned various outdoor items.
Citation: Police on South Avenue pulled over and cited Jose M. Carrion-Riveria, 19, of Third Street, Campbell on a marijuana-possession charge.
Breaking and entering: Someone pried a lock, then entered a garage to a vacant Meadowbrook Avenue residence. Several windows were broken as well.
Burglary: To a garage in the 5400 block of Mill Creek Boulevard. Stolen was a 20-inch bicycle.
Drugs: Authorities at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital arrested Laishawn W. Newkirk Sr., 39, of Southern Boulevard, Boardman, on charges of drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia, related to a welfare check Jan. 20, 2016, in which police reportedly found two suspected marijuana pipes, a jar of suspected marijuana, three devices commonly used to grind marijuana and a digital scale.
Identity theft: An Orlo Lane man found his debit card had been used to make $4,300 worth of fraudulent charges at a Macedonia big-box store.
Arrest: Breona J. Layton, 24, was arrested on a warrant charging her with inducing panic after a drug overdose April 25 at her Southern Boulevard residence. Layton’s boyfriend reported having found her unresponsive, a report showed.
Citation: Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 7400 block of West Boulevard before citing Tyrone L. Gordon Sr. of Eleanor Avenue, Youngstown, after alleging Gordon, 56, had 1.2 grams of suspected marijuana in the car.
Theft: A man who was given a cup for water at McDonald’s, 22 Boardman-Canfield Road, reportedly filled the cup with soda and left without paying.
Aggravated menacing: Police responded to a report that an 8-year-old boy had been threatened with a gun during an argument that broke out at a basketball game near Erie Street and Terrace Drive.
Domestic violence: Jay R. Weston, 31, of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, Youngstown, was picked up on a domestic-violence warrant after his former girlfriend, of South Avenue, alleged Weston had punched her face and flipped her over his shoulder, causing her to black out, during an argument.
Theft: Sherry A. Uhrin, 49, who listed Campbell addresses on Monette and First streets, was charged in the theft of two tubes of mascara and other small items from Marc’s, 7121 Tiffany Blvd.
June 2
Aggravated menacing: Officers responded to a Boardman Center Intermediate School student, who reported someone had contacted her via Instagram and threatened to hack into her cellphone unless she sent inappropriate pictures of herself.
Attempted theft: Someone in the 100 block of Prestwick Drive entered a car, though nothing appeared to have been removed.
Aggravated menacing: An employee with a U.S. Route 224 dentist’s office alleged a patient threatened on several occasions to kill her and others at the business. The patient also spit on her, she further alleged.
Burglary: Youngstown police handed to township authorities Tina M. Jarrette, 50, of Wood Street, Youngstown, who was wanted on a burglary charge after someone had broken into a home March 9 in the 7000 block of Paxton Road, then took $1,100, a safe and a Social Security card.
Drugs: Kalyn D. Sly, 22, faced a felony cocaine-possession charge after police had pulled him over near Aravesta Avenue. Sly, of Shields Road, Boardman, had a bag that contained 0.1 grams of suspected cocaine, authorities alleged.
Unauthorized use of a vehicle: An official with R&J Trucking Inc., 8063 Southern Blvd., said a former driver took and refuses to return a tractor-trailer.
Theft: A dealer plate was stolen off a vehicle at a business in the 5300 block of Market Street.
Misuse of a credit card: A West Boulevard man found out his stolen credit card had been used to make numerous fraudulent charges at area businesses.
Theft: An official with a Market Street health care facility reported at least four prescription pills had been stolen.
Criminal damaging: An employee with a Tiffany Boulevard restaurant reported a boulder had been used to smash a rear window to his vehicle.
Attempted theft: Someone entered a car in the 1800 block of Palo Verde Drive, though it appeared nothing was missing.
Drugs: Police responded to a loud argument in the 30 block of Shields Road, where an officer reported having seen in a laundry room two cigarette-pack wrappers that contained chunks of an off-white substance suspected of being crack cocaine or heroin. No arrests were made at the time of the report, however.
Theft: A Shields Road woman reported a wallet and several cards missing from her vehicle.
Harassment: A man and his girlfriend said they received 20 unwanted text messages while they were in the 7100 block of Market Street.
Theft: Someone took $20, a vehicle title and other documents from a car in the 4000 block of Glenwood Avenue.
Theft: A Struthers woman told officers her teenage daughter’s cellphone was stolen while the girl was at a Tiffany Boulevard business.
Misuse of a credit card: A Crestview Drive man learned that his missing credit card had been used to make two charges at township drug stores that totaled $185.
Arrest: A traffic stop on Market Street resulted in Travis W. Soltesiz’s arrest. Soltesiz, 31, of Wildwood Drive, Boardman, was wanted on an Ohio State Highway Patrol warrant charging failure to appear in court.
Theft: A man reportedly stole two pairs of shorts and one pair of pants from Kohl’s, 383 Boardman-Poland Road.
Stolen property: Three Youngstown boys, 13, 14, and 15, faced charges after a Warren man had reported his $700 cellphone stolen at a Boardman-Poland Road big-box store.
June 3
Arrest: A vehicle check near East Midlothian Boulevard resulted in the arrest of Deyonte J. Turner of Friendship Avenue, Boardman, who was wanted on a Niles warrant charging failure to appear in court. Turner, 22, also was handed a minor-misdemeanor citation charging marijuana possession.
Theft: Melissa M. Neiderer, 24, and Tami L. Peffer-Palmer, 44, faced theft charges. The two Ellwood City, Pa., women were accused of stealing a dish set, a pair of sunglasses and clothing from Walmart, 1300 Doral Drive.
Harassment: A Boardman-Canfield Road man said he received a threatening call from a blocked number.
Drugs: After pulling him over near Glenwood Avenue, authorities charged Raymont J. Ingram, 39, of New Court, Youngstown, with felony drug abuse after alleging Ingram had five over-the-counter pills in a plastic bag.
Criminal mischief: A former worker with a Market Street gas station reportedly removed a nozzle and sprayed gasoline on the ground near the pump.
Assault: Anthony C. Ciccolelli, 25, of Cobblers Run Drive, Poland, surrendered on a simple-assault charge, related to a fight May 13 in which a man reported having been assaulted in the 7300 block of South Avenue.
Theft: Audreyona M. Ward, 22, of Volney Road, Youngstown, was charged with stealing $72 worth of merchandise that included a tank top from Walmart.
June 4
Arrest: Jerwanda M.L. Atkins of Plazaview Court, Youngstown, was picked up during a traffic stop on Market Street. Atkins, 25, was wanted on a Campbell warrant charging failure to appear in court.
Burglary: To an apartment in the 8000 block of Cook Avenue, from which a 42-inch TV was stolen.
Citation: Officers near Overhill Road pulled over then issued a minor-misdemeanor citation charging Justintyler A. Williams, 35, of Canfield Road, Youngstown, with having a bag of suspected marijuana.
Drugs: During a traffic stop near Market Street, police charged Phillip D. Harris, 44, of South Schenley Avenue, Boardman, with possession of dangerous drugs, a felony, after alleging Harris had Gabapentin, an over-the-counter medication typically used to treat nerve pain and certain types of seizures, with no prescription.
Theft: Someone entered a vehicle in the 400 block of Jaronte Drive and took a keychain.
Criminal damaging: A man reported rocks had been tossed at his Leighton Avenue residence, which resulted in $500 worth of damage to a storm door.
Identity fraud: A Ridgewood Avenue man found out his information had been used without authorization to submit credit-card applications.
Theft: A $2,500 electric saw was removed from a pickup truck in the 300 block of Jaronte Drive.
Theft: A man noticed a wallet and an iPhone case missing from his Eisenhower Drive home.
Menacing: A man told officers that a woman on occasion stops in front of his Euclid Boulevard home to shout obscenities at him, apparently after the accuser shot a dog in his yard that he said had tried to attack his dog.
Theft: A man reportedly stole $57 worth of merchandise, including fishing gear, from Walmart.
Theft: A server with a Market Street restaurant discovered her purse with about $900 was missing while she was at work.
Assault: A man told officers he was punched in the chest as he tried to break up a fight between another man and a woman in the 5200 block of Market Street.
June 5
Arrest: The Adult Parole Authority handed William J. McCulloch, 23, to Boardman police. McCulloch, of South Glenellen Avenue, Youngstown, was charged with inducing panic after officers had responded to a possible drug overdose March 30 in the parking lot of a Youngstown-Poland Road fast-food restaurant, where McCulloch was found unconscious.
Assault: Police responded to a large fight in the 4100 block of Hillman Way, where a woman said she had been punched five or six times in the head.
Vandalism: A Youngstown man told police a rock struck and left three dents in his vehicle as he drove on Southern Boulevard.
Criminal mischief: A Poland woman who owns a piece of property in the 5500 block of Southern Boulevard discovered damage to a downspout and various bushes.
Assault: A Grover Drive woman alleged another woman punched her face as the accuser sat in a car during a conversation that became a heated argument.
Drugs: Police charged Secret S. Douglass, 18, of Beechwood Place, Youngstown, with drug possession and drug abuse (marijuana) after having pulled him over in the 5100 block of Southern Boulevard. Suspected marijuana residue was in the car; also found in his pocket were 10 Tramadol pills, which are narcotics commonly used to treat moderate to severe pain, a report said.
Robbery: Nicole L. Pietrangeli, 47, of Whispering Pines Drive, Warren, was charged with robbery and possession of drug paraphernalia, and Laura L. Rice, 58, same address, faced charges of theft, drug abuse and possession of drug paraphernalia after police had responded to a shoplifting situation at Kohl’s. A loss-prevention official alleged Pietrangeli had grabbed her upper arms before fleeing; also, two suspected crack-cocaine pipes and possibly stolen goods were found in their vehicle, a report stated.
Assault: A Shadyside Drive woman alleged her boyfriend pushed her several times in the face and grabbed her arms while refusing to leave her home during an argument about money he had given her.
Breaking and entering: Someone forcibly broke into two coin-operated machines at Boardman Super Wash, 4030 South Avenue, removed an undisclosed sum of money and damaged masonry surrounding the machines.
Vandalism: A motorist reported multiple rocks were thrown at his vehicle as he drove near Southern Boulevard and Arlene Avenue. Three juveniles, 11, 12 and 15, reportedly admitted to the crime, a report stated.
Criminal damaging: A mailbox was knocked over and damaged in the 100 block of Sugarcane Drive.
June 6
Drugs/weapons: Officers responded to a 911 call from Arden Boulevard before charging Tyler N. Sharpless, 19, of Pointview Avenue, Youngstown, with two counts of possessing dangerous drugs and one each of carrying a concealed weapon, underage possession of alcohol and receiving stolen property, as well as a 16-year-old Youngstown boy with receiving stolen property, underage consumption of alcohol and carrying a concealed weapon. Both of them had knives; in addition, over-the-counter pills under a different name, two bottles of vodka, a bottle of rum and other items were found, a report showed.
