Chamber launches new monthly speaker series with lawmakers

YOUNGSTOWN

The Government Affairs Council of the Youngstown/Warren Regional Chamber is launching and hosting a new monthly speaker series featuring the Mahoning Valley’s elected delegation to the Ohio General Assembly.

State Sens. Joe Schiavoni of Boardman, D-33rd, and Sean O’Brien of Bazetta, D-32nd, and state Reps. Michele Lepore-Hagan of Youngstown, D-58th, John Boccieri of Poland, D-59th, Michael O’Brien of Warren, D-64th, and Glenn Holmes of McDonald, D-63rd, will be among those who will provide updates to business leaders about developments in Columbus.

The series, sponsored by MS Consultants and Seven Seventeen Credit Union, begins in July.

A tentative schedule is as follows, some times and locations will be announced later: 7:30 to 9 a.m. July 10 at Stambaugh Auditorium with Schiavoni as the speaker; 7:30 to 9 a.m. Aug. 14, McKinley Birthplace Home with Sean O’Brien as the speaker; 7:30 to 9 a.m. Sept. 11 at Camelot Lanes in Boardman with Boccieri as the speaker; Oct. 6 with Michael O’Brien; Nov. 13 with Lepore-Hagan; and Dec. 11 with Holmes.
