Today — Youngstown Marathon, half marathon, & 5K at Second Sole Youngstown. Marathon & half marathon begin at 7 a.m., 5K begins at 7:15 a.m. Early registration available at www.youngstownmarathon.com or www.secondsoleohio.com. 10 — Mecca Mile to benefit the St. Joseph Cancer Center. Hosted by The Lake Tavern in Mecca. Entry fee is $13 in advance ($15 day of the race). Packet pick-up and race-day registration at 5 p.m. in front of The Lake Taven, just south of Mecca Circle on Route 46. Parking and restrooms available at Mecca Park. Race begins at 6 p.m. Fun run/walk also scheduled. Register online at www. giopherarun.com.

25 — Friends of Melana 5K and 1-mile walk/run in conjunction with Garrettsville Summer Fest. Benefits glioma childhood cancer research. Entry fee is $25 for the 5K, $15 for the 1-mile. 8 — Dan Dunlap Memorial 5K Run a& Kids Half-Mile Fun Run. The event is in memorial of former Pymatuning Valley High School and Ohio University All-American runner Dan Dunlap. The course will be the PV cross country course through the Pymatuning Local Schools Campus, 5571 State Route 6 West, Andover. Entry fee is $15 in advance or $20 on race day. The 5K race begins at 9 a.m. The kids run is $10. The half-mile race begins at 8:30 a.m. Call Ricky Watters at 419-230-7786 for more information or to register.
