Food program begins today

Free meals for children this summer are available with breakfast 9 to 9:30 a.m. and lunch 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. every day. The Summer Food Service Program for Children site locations are: Stambaugh Charter Academy, 2420 Donald Ave.; The Village Network/Brite Futures-Youngstown, 1325 Fifth Ave. second floor; and Summit Elementary 144 N. Schenley Ave.

Children must meet the income guidelines for reduced-price meals in the National School Lunch Program. Children who are part of households that receive Supplemental Nutrition Assistance program benefits or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families are eligible automatically.
