Tuesday — Annual Junior Golf Program at Valley Golf Club. Program consists of free clinic conducted by PGA pro Ted Ossoff. The clinic is for beginner junior golfers from grade school to high school. Clinic starts at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. League play for experienced junior golfers is $25. Registration can be completed in person at the pro shop or by phone at 330-482-9464,
Wednesday — Youngstown Baseball Oldtimers Golf Outing begins with a 10 a.m. shotgun start at Mill Creek Golf Course. Coffee and doughnuts will be available at 9 a.m. and hot dogs will be available at the turn. Call Nick Granito at 330-782-6520.
10 — Jackson-Milton Sports Club’s 26th annual amateur outing will be at Lakeside Golf Course. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. Cost for the four-person scramble is $280 a team and includes continental breakfast, lunch and dinner. Beverages will be provided. Prizes are $500 for first place, $300 for second, and $200 for third. 1st There will be prizes for longest drive, shortest drive and closest to the pin. 10 — Third annual Tom Henson Ashtabula County Basketball Foundation Golf Tournament at Village Green Golf Course in North Kingsville. Four-person scramble. 10 — 13th annual New Bethel Baptist Church scramble at Pine Lakes Golf Course in Hubbard. Cost is $70 per person and includes 18 holes, breakfast, lunch and dinner and longest drive and closest to pin contests. Teams of four people can compete in men’s, women’s and mixed divisions. 12 — Steel Valley FCA Charity Golf Tournament at Youngstown Country Club. Valley native and former MLB pitcher Dave Dravecky is scheduled as the featured speaker. Cost is $125 per golfer, $500 per foursome or $25 for dinner only. Golf fee includes golf scramble, Under Armour golf shirt, lunch, awards dinner with prizes and a silent auction. Morning registration begins at 6:15 a.m. and a shotgun start is set for 7:15 a.m. Afternoon registration is at 11:30 a.m., followed by 12:30 p.m. shotgun start. Proceeds will benefit the Foundation and its work to support the Children’s Mental Health Treatment Programs offered by Alta Behavioral Healthcare, the Mahoning Valley’s largest outpatient mental health service provider for children, teens and their families. 17 — Ohio Girls Golf Foundation Showcase at Avon Oaks Country Club. LPGA Tour professional Barb Mucha, along with local PGA and LPGA professionals, will headline the event, which affords girls a unique opportunity to learn tips from numerous professionals and golf in a tournament all in one day. Open to high school girls, including incoming freshmen and graduated seniors, the event includes a morning of interactive skills clinics, 18-hole tournament and awards presentation for individual low gross and best team.
