Staf report

The Rust Belt Theater Company will present “Miss Tuesday Night,” the newest musical by Robert Dennick Joki and Josh Taylor, on June 9, 10, 16, 17, 23 and 24, each night at 8.

“Miss Tuesday Night” takes a hilarious look at the culture surrounding small-town gay-bar drag pageantry.

Contestants and stage mothers abound in this new interactive musical that follows the structure of a traditional drag queen pageant from beginning to end.

“Audience members will be given the chance to participate in the performance each night. Three volunteers will be chosen to ‘compete’ in the pageant each night alongside the actors,” said Joki, director of this production.

The cast includes Kage Coven, Nicole Zayas, Celena Coven, Heather Powell, Ryan Musgrove, Mary James, James Hain, Amanda Rudnytsky, Marisa Zamary, Brooke Nobbs, Jude Mikulich, Hunter James, Lynn Sabeh, Josh Fleming and Joki.

Tickets are $15 regular admission and $10 for students and seniors. There will be a reception after the opening night.

For reservations, call 330-507-2358.

The Rust Belt Theater Company is in the Calvin Center, at 755 Mahoning Avenue, just outside downtown Youngstown.
