Home Savings $10,000 donation

YOUNGSTOWN

The Home Savings Charitable Foundation recently donated a check for $10,000 to Compass Family & Community Services. All of these events help raise money for Compass programs.

Pelosi: No debt limit increase to reward rich with tax cuts

WASHINGTON

Top House Democrat Nancy Pelosi says that GOP leaders shouldn’t take for granted that Democrats will vote to increase the government’s borrowing cap.

Pelosi told reporters Friday that she has no “intention of supporting lifting the debt ceiling to enable the Republicans to give another tax break to the wealthy.”

Her remarks came as the Trump administration and congressional Republicans are grappling to develop a strategy for a debt-limit measure. Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin is pressing for a debt-limit measure that’s free of other legislation, but other Republicans want to use the measure as an opportunity to advance spending cuts.

Hackers break into OneLogin

NEW YORK

Hackers have gained access to OneLogin, an online password manager that offers a single sign-on to multiple websites and services.

OneLogin said in a blog post that it couldn’t rule out the possibility that hackers got keys to reading encrypted data, such as stored passwords.

Published reports, however, say OneLogin informed customers that the hackers indeed got that capability. OneLogin didn’t immediately respond to a request to comment.
