Several city streets, Mill Creek Park roads closed for Youngstown Marathon

YOUNGSTOWN

Because of the inaugural Youngstown Marathon, several city streets and Mill Creek Park roads will be closed to vehicular traffic Sunday from 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The city streets are Commerce Street from South Avenue to Fifth Avenue; Fifth Avenue from Commerce to the Spring Common Bridge; Federal Street from South Avenue to Fifth Avenue; the Spring Common Bridge; Mahoning Avenue from the Spring Common Bridge to West Avenue; all of West and Tod avenues; and Price Road from Tod to West Glacier Drive.

These roads in Mill Creek Park will be closed from approximately 5 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Bears Den, Cross, New Cross, Lily Pond, West and West Glacier drives; Price Road; East Glacier Drive south of Volney Field; Memorial Hill Drive; Slippery Rock Bridge; Robinson Hill; East Cohasset, West Cohasset, High, Valley, East Park, Old Mill and East Newport drives; Kreider’s Entrance; West Newport Drive; East Golf Drive and parking areas; and Lanterman’s Mill parking areas.
