2 charged with drug offenses after arrests Wednesday

Police made two felony drug arrests in the city Wednesday.

Mark Lilly, 27, of Hubbard, was arrested about 7:25 p.m. at Goodlow Avenue near Dearborn Avenue on the North Side after he was spotted with another man in a car Lilly was driving that was parked for several minutes in a secluded area.

Reports said Lilly has a suspended license, and when police searched the car before it was towed, they found suspected methamphetamine and two meth pipes.

Lilly faces a felony charge of possession of drugs as well as driving under suspension and possession of drug-abuse instruments. He was booked into the Mahoning County jail.

About 5:15 p.m., Craig Wilfong, 30, of Girard, was arrested in a Market Street parking lot on the South Side police said is known for drug sales and usage.

Reports said Wilfong was spotted in a car in the parking lot for several minutes and was trying to hide something when an officer approached him.

A dose of suspected heroin was found in his wallet, reports said. He was arrested on a charge of possession of heroin.
