Man who was stabbed gets stitched but won't snitch

YOUNGSTOWN — Reports said a man stabbed in the stomach late Saturday at an apartment in the 900 block of Plazaview Court has not been cooperating with police.

Officers were called to the apartment about 11:55 p.m. and when they arrived they found the sidewalk covered in blood and a witness who was also covered in blood. The 23-year-old victim had already been taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital when police arrived.

The woman told police the man was arguing with someone outside when he knocked on her door and asked her to call 911. Reports said the woman’s apartment was also covered in blood and there was a live bullet next to the front door.

Other witnesses said the victim had a gun and was arguing with someone but none of them saw when he was stabbed.

When police questioned the victim in the hospital, he refused to give them any information, reports said.
