Upstate Shredding-Ben Weitsman of New Castle, Pa., recently announced the hiring of George Ostendorf, a veteran in the metals-recycling industry.

Ostendorf is now the new general manager of Ben Weitsman of New Castle. He will be responsible for overseeing and managing all operations and employees at Ben Weitsman, a division of Upstate Shredding.

Before joining Upstate Shredding, Ostendorf spent just under a decade with scrap company Metalico.
