Diabetes Partnership presents scholarships

The Diabetes Partnership of the Mahoning Valley presented its Jean Ryder Scholarship recipients recently at the Stonebridge Grille in Boardman.

The scholarship is named after Ryder, a board member and Mahoning Valley resident who is a lifelong diabetic. She has helped many through the challenges of type 1 diabetes.

The Diabetes Partnership is a support and educational group that works with the Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley to support Mahoning Valley diabetics and their caregivers.

The organization also contributes funds to the Midlothian Free Health Clinic and supports its diabetic program by extending help to those with no insurance.
