Penn National reports second-quarter earnings

Penn National Gaming, the owner/operator of Hollywood Gaming at Mahoning Valley Race Course, reported an increase in revenue, but a drop in its second-quarter income.

The Wyomissing, Pa.-based gaming and racing company reported net income of $17.1 million during the second quarter of 2017, down from $34 million reported in the second quarter of 2016.

Adjusted income was $219.1 million, down from $223.8 million reported the previous year.

The company’s revenue was $796.5 million, up from $769.4 million made in the previous year.

In the company’s Northeast segment, where the Austintown racino fits in, it reported revenue of $405,099, up from $401,516 reported the previous year.

Adjusted income in that segment came in at $129,876 from $127,009 reported the previous year.
