The Public Library of Youngstown and Mahoning Valley is working to build a better community with Family Game Nights at the libraries.

Austintown library hosted a Family Game Night on July 10 and had a variety of games for the guests to play. Prior to the Austintown library, the Tri-Lakes library hosted a game night for families to attend. There was giant Jenga, giant Connect Four and several different board games.

Families with children of all ages came to the library to play games with each other. There were family members and friends who attended the program to spend time together.

Many of the children who attended were given the opportunity to make new friends as they played games with one another.

The program ran for two hours and was open for people to come and spend the whole time there or only part of the time. The evening provided a fun way to bring people into the library and play games in a relaxing environment.
