Serbian festival set for Sunday

YOUNGSTOWN

The 85th annual Serbian Day Picnic will take place Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church, 53 Laird Ave., featuring live music, traditional food and activities for children. Admission is $3.

Nocne Sove (Night Owls) will perform from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the church hall, and the Braca Tamburitzan Orchestra will play from 3 to 8 p.m. in the pavilion.

Homemade foods will include chicken paprikash (11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.), spit-roasted lamb and pork (ready at noon), cevapcici sausage (3 to 8 p.m.), Serbian potato salad and rice, kolbasi and sauerkraut sandwiches, donuts and strudel.
