Pop artist to lead Butler kids class

New York pop artist and author Michael Albert will come to the Butler Institute of American Art on Sunday from 1 to 4 p.m. to lead an art-making session for children and families.

Albert is well-known for the collages he makes from the printed cardboard packages of popular consumer products. All participants at Sunday’s event can create their own collage in his style using these same materials, and will receive a print from the artist as a gift. Art teachers will receive a poster to take back to their school.
