YOUNGSTOWN

Reports said police found two bags of suspected crack cocaine Wednesday morning that a man tossed out of his car while he was being chased by police.

Officers were called about 10:55 a.m. to West Princeton Avenue and Hillman Street on the South Side for a report of gunfire when an officer spotted a car with bullet holes in the body and windshield turn onto Hillman.

The car failed to stop when the officer pulled it over, and he chased it on several South Side streets. During the chase, reports said the driver tossed a bag out the window at West Woodland and Oak Hill avenues. That bag was later found by other officers.

The car stopped just after crossing Market Street at West Woodland Avenue because of a mechanical problem, reports said.

Reports said the driver, Raheem Satterhwaite, 31, of Youngstown, was arrested on charges of fleeing and eluding and possession of crack cocaine and booked into the Mahoning County jail. He is expected to be arraigned today.
