Cameron Jaros, a 12-year-old student at Austintown Middle School, was recently diagnosed with an aggressive type of leukemia. To help raise funds to help with Cameron’s medical treatment in Cleveland, Barre Youngstown, a fitness studio in Boardman, held a fundraiser July 1. Students were able to attend free classes, buy tickets for an auction and buy shirts that said #CAMSTRONG. The event raised more than $1,700. The studio owner is Laura Zavadil, and the instructor is Kim Miller. Seated from left, are Zavadil, Christina Simon, Mary Timko, Joellin Chance, Catherine Ruminiski, Jennifer Thomas and Kerry Tedesco. Standing from left, are Gia Tkash, Kelley Mills, Mary Liz Smith, Rachel Parlink, Lori Kavanaugh, Jayne Sinchack, Cameron Jaros, Madelyn Miller, Kim Miller, Lindsay Czpour, Krista Schmied, Alexis Eckman, Lisa Thomas, Tricia Missos, Cassie Vennetti and Carla Rose.
