Congratulations to Andy Timko his staff and players for the Astro Shapes 18-U team for winning the championship of the third Bob Cene Memorial Wood Bat Classic. I would also like to thank everyone who made the tournament a success. To Bob Cene Jr., Ryan Cene and Katie Kelly. The Air Force Reserve color guard and Cassie Mosure Oles, who sang our national anthem. To Mike Shuba who donated posters of his dad’s famous handshake with Jackie Robinson, Scott Ruark, Steve Leslie, Bob Beam, Tim Joyce, John Grace, Red Baker, Ron Fagert and Nancy Mikos, who worked in the background to make the tournament sucessful. To Ron Bovo, Donnie Watt and their workers for getting the fields in top condition. The Youngstown Metro Umpire Asscocation. The concession crew of Frank Cimmento and his workers. To the gate volunteers from the Class B League and to South Range, Springfield, Niles, Salem, Warren Harding and Pemberton Park for their use of their fields.
