Authorities seek man who robbed Liberty Home Savings

Area law-enforcement officials are searching for a man who robbed Home Savings on Belmont Avenue just after 10 a.m. Saturday and escaped with an undetermined about of money.
According to the Trumbull County 911 Center, a teller at the bank pressed the emergency button twice after the robber handed over a note demanding money and showed a silver handgun.
Police in Liberty and Youngstown began searching the area around the branch bank for the robbery suspect with a police dog from YPD, reported 21 WFMJ-TV, The Vindicator’s broadcast partner.
Police are asking for help finding the suspect, whom they describe as a black male in his mid- to late 30s, wearing a red coat and black plaid hat, a brown jacket and blue jeans and black-framed glasses. He is believed to be about 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing about 200 pounds.
