Hitting and pitching camp to be Aug. 13
The second Erin Gabriel Hitting and Pitching Camp, sponsored by the Poland All Sports Boosters, will take place on Aug. 13. The camp is for girls, ages 8 and older. The camp will take place at Dobbins field in Poland. Girls from all communities are welcome. The camp flyer is available online at http://www.polandbulldogs.com/8/home. Try out for Poland Pride fastpitch
The Poland Pride fastpitch softball will be hosting tryouts for next season on July 30 and Aug. 5. Private tryouts are available upon request. Visit the Pride’s Facebook page or call David at 330-707-0565 for details.
Neighbors Blitz to feature middle school football and younger
Football season is on the horizon and Neighbors needs your help featuring the great football teams in your area that are age groups middle school and younger for our Neighbors Blitz page. If you are a coach or parent, please consider submitting a photograph or two of the players in action or of the team afterward, along with some details on the game and the names of any players or team members photographed, listed from left to right and front to back. Neighbors wants summer sports news
Summer athletics have arrived and Neighbors wants to be there every step of the way. If you’re a sports coach or the parent of an athlete, we need your help. In order to get teams and players the recognition they deserve, we want to showcase them in our pages.
We can only do that if you commit to sending us game reports and photos each week. If you send it, it will get in.
You can email us at neighbors@vindy.com. You don’t have to be a writer — just send us the information and we’ll put it all together. When emailing pictures, send them as JPEG files and as large as possible.
Provide caption information and where people are located from left to right, front row to back. The sports news we’re looking for ranges from varsity high school teams down to middle school and even elementary and recreational leagues. We look forward to hearing about your teams successes.
