No injuries in vacant school building fire on South Side

YOUNGSTOWN — No one was injured after a fire early today at the old Buckeye School building on Mount Vernon Avenue.

Crews were called to the building about 6:30 a.m. and found flames on the third floor, a fire department spokesman said,

A damage estimate is not available, but the spokesman said the third floor received heavy damage.
