South Avenue corridor to get nearly $12K for upgrade

YOUNGSTOWN — The city’s board of control approved spending $11,954 today to beautify the South Avenue corridor.

The board voted to spend $8,000 for 24 concrete flower pots and $3,954 for a “Welcome to the South Ave. Corridor” sign that will be erected near the Himrod Avenue Expressway ramp. The work will start in August.
