Mahoning Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution recently inducted officers for the 2017-19 term. They are: Sarah Keeler, regent; Jennifer Phillips, vice regent; Marty Campana, chaplain; Carol Haynes, recording secretary; Janet Bender, corresponding secretary; Autumn McDonald, treasurer; Kimberly Bland, registrar; Bonnie Sue Casto, historian and librarian; and Dolores Ronzi, parliamentarian. Major Polly Orcutt from the Air Force Reserve Station in Vienna spoke about aerial spray missions to control insects and unwanted vegetation and that the Hercules must be ready to deploy within 72 hours. The chapter’s “Wool Brigade” knitted 185 scarves to be sent to Operation Gratitude headquarters for troops. Pictured above from left are Keeler, Phillips, Campana, Bland, Haynes, Bender, Casto and McDonald. Missing from picture is Ronzi.
