WEST FARMINGTON

A regional endangered-missing-child alert has been issued by Trumbull County 911 for a Farmington Township teen, Isabyl Rebekah Royer, 15, who was last seen leaving her residence on foot Saturday night. While this is not an Amber Alert, Isabyl is believed by law-enforcement officials to be in danger.

According to the alert, when last seen Isabyl was wearing a maroon and grey shirt and black pants and carrying a black bag.

Law enforcement is asking the public’s assistance in locating her. Anyone who sees her should call 911 or the local police department. Isabyl is described as 5 foot 6 inches tall, weighing 150 pounds with blonde hair and hazel eyes.

Man shot in Warren

WARREN

Warren police were searching for a male who shot another male in the foot about 8:45 p.m. in the 2000 block of Burton St. SE near the intersections of Hazelwood and Rogers avenues.

Police found a man limping on the street who said he had just been shot but did not see who shot him. A witness reported a black Chevrolet Blazer leaving the area at a high rate of speed toward Niles Road Southeast right after shots were fired.

Inducing panic

YOUNGSTOWN

Angel Ortiz III, 24, of Mathews Road, Boardman, was charged with inducing panic after he was revived from an apparent drug overdose in a vehicle on McGuffey Road at 12:05 p.m. Friday.

When police arrived, his eyes were rolling in the back of his head and he was unresponsive. Paramedics revived him with a sternum rub, and he was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital.

Police found an uncapped syringe in the car, and Ortiz said he had been clean five years but recently relapsed.

Run for Caitlin

CANFIELD

The fourth annual Run for Caitlin will take place Saturday at Canfield High School and the Canfield Hike-and-Bike trail.

The run is hosted in memory of Caitlin Yager, a 19-year-old Marietta College student who was killed in a car accident. Money raised during the run is used for scholarships presented to local eighth-grade students who want to attend Cardinal Mooney High School. This year, eight $1,500 scholarships will be presented.

The race, a 3K and an 8K, cost $10 and $20, respectively. More information is available at runforcaitlin.org

Veterans’ poker run

SALEM

The Salem Club, 542 S. Broadway Ave., will host the third annual Columbiana County Veterans’ Poker Run on Saturday. Breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. and will cost $6 per person. Sign-ups start at 9 a.m.

The event will include raffles, a basket auction, trivia prizes and DJ Mikey Mike. The event will finish at AMVETS Post No. 45, 750 Broadway Ave. The first bike will be out at 11 a.m., and the event will go on rain or shine. Participants will be charged $15 for singles or $25 for doubles. Dinner will be served after the poker run.

Cemetery tour

BOARDMAN

A public tour at the Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery, 5400 Market St., will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday. Join local historians Richard Hall and Steffon Wydell Jones as they share history of residents buried there. For information, call Jones at 330-259-2091. If it rains, the tour will occur at 3 p.m. July 30.
