Doused with bleach

YOUNGSTOWN

A city man, 60, was robbed of his cellphone and was hit in the face with a liquid, possibly bleach, while sitting in a car on Tyrell Street at 2:52 p.m. Friday. The man said he went to Tyrell to pick up a female, 23, to take her shopping, but the woman threw liquid from a cup at him and took his phone.

An officer said he could smell bleach coming from the man, and the man said his eyes were burning. He was taken to St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital for treatment.
