YOUNGSTOWN

Police said they have no suspects in an early Friday shooting on the South Side that critically injured an 18-year-old man.

Braylin Bell is being treated at St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital after he was found with two gunshot wounds to the head and one to chest just after 2 a.m. Friday at his home in the 400 block of Mistletoe Avenue.

Officers responding to a shooting call came to the home and found Bell lying on the floor of his room, reports said. Reports did not give any other information.

Lt. Doug Bobovnyik said that Bell was shot during a home invasion but he would not say what led investigators to believe that. He did say there were signs someone forced their way into the home.

Bobovnyik also would not say if anything was taken.

There were other family members present when Bell was shot and they called 911, Bobovnyik said.

Bell was placed on life support in the hospital, Bobovnyik said.
